JSC Scientific production enterprise "Filter Materials" has been founded in 2002 and is the result of a co-operation of Russian engineers and technocrats with the German company PILL NASSVLIESTECHNIK. Core activity of the enterprise is the production of filter papers for oil, air and petrol used in the automobile and machine building industry.

This company has got the only inclined wire machine all over Russia today. Trimmed working width of the machine is 1.620 mm, speed up to 100 m/min. The slitter rewinder supplies reels with a max. diameter of 1.500 mm and reel widths from 30 to 1500 mm.

As raw material various kinds of cellulose and synthetic fibres are used, which are transformed into various filter paper grades and - in case of need and depending on the quality requirements - are impregnated with resins and Latex in a watery or alcoholic process.

The material recipes of the individual paper grades and the parameter for the stock preparation are developed and tested in the own laboratories of the company. As per information of the company management, JSC Scientific & Production Enterprise "Filter Materials" is the only Russian producer of filter papers who is able to compete with Western manufactures of these paper grades.
